A capacity-building workshop for 20 civil society representatives in Katsina State. Topics included writing effective policy briefs and proposals, delivering elevator pitches, and using AI tools for research and productivity. Co-hosted with The Green Minds Space.
A joint tree-planting drive with the African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET) across Katsina State. 150 economic tree seedlings were planted as part of GNEP's nature and ecosystem restoration focus area.
A one-day capacity-building session for civil society organisations on storytelling techniques and persuasive communication for environmental advocacy. Participants developed skills to communicate environmental issues more effectively to diverse audiences.
GNEP participated in this institutional workshop convened by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Katsina, in collaboration with UNICEF. The event focused on field work approaches for climate change education and green skills development. Note: This event was organised by SUBEB and UNICEF. GNEP attended as a participant.
GNEP is establishing Climate Clubs in schools across Katsina State to embed environmental awareness and climate literacy among young people. This effort creates structured platforms for students to engage with climate science, sustainability, and environmental action.
